IGARSS 2008 offers students the unique opportunity to interact with representatives of companies in geosciences and remote sensing. Registering and attending the career fair allows you to:
- attend short (5-10 minutes) presentations on career opportunities within the main sponsors of the event
- network with representatives of companies and learn more about the employment opportunities
- hand in your resume
- seek potential interviews
- have your contact information shared with potential employers during the conference
This event is available by registration only to students and limited in the number of accepted registrants. If you are looking for employment, do not forget to register for this event! Come to the meeting armed with questions and resumes!

Young Professionals Luncheon
Tuesday, July 8, 12:00 - 14:00
As part of the student activities IGARSS 2008 is organizing a "Young Professionals" luncheon. The event is scheduled for Tuesday July 8, 2008 between 12:00 and 14:00 and will be open by registration to students. Only a very limited number of tickets will be available. The luncheon will provide a forum of discussion between current students and Graduate of the Last Decade (GOLD) members on career paths, skill sets beneficial to secure employment in the geosciences and remote sensing industries, as well as professional development opportunities. Organized for the first time as part of IGARSS, the event will allow current and future GOLD members to network in an informal setting. The nominal charge for this event is only partially covering the food costs. Space is very limited so please register early!
